Re: the disability freeform - when Zhao Yunlan goes blind, what if Shen Wei does too? (It would likely have large 'fork in the road' implications re: the cure and energy exchange, but you can completely ignore that and focus on some small moment(s). Or you can lean into it and maybe even have it be a fix-it for the ending - that's totally up to you. :D)
Re: full/true name - it could work so well with the renaming conversation in YOHE - the new name IS Shen Wei's true name! (And how would it work with Shen Wei calling Zhao Yunlan Kunlun? Would is still cause extra angst even if Zhao Yunlan knows that they're soulmates in the future?)

I love how Hyacinth is self-assured and intelligent and stubborn and Gareth loves her for it! I really love Gareth! He’s def one of my favorite Bridgerton spouses, and I also just love his whole family backstory too! The fact that he’s not a bastard on a technicality, but also like his daddy issues (and mommy issues to a lesser extent lbr) and then marrying into SUCH a loving family as the Bridgertons - I love it! I would say Hyacinth is my favorite of the siblings; I love how she is smarter than just about everyone, and she knows it (and she’s not afraid to show it).
I love them so much - but the books are very of their time, and I’d definitely like to see things that the books didn’t show us - whether that Gareth eating Hy out for an hour or facesitting or – well, have fun with it.
Opting in to modern AUs, canon divergence where George lives, etc. I am explicitly opting into modern AUs here, because I think it’s fun to see how their relationship would change.

I tend to lean toward a Regulus who is earnestly invested in what he believes to be a New World Order / Cause, but who feels like he fails to measure up with his family’s expectations (bonus points if you bring Sirius into it). I feel like he tries a lot, and maybe has some trouble succeeding.
Honestly, I think in his position, he probably defines himself a lot in opposition to his brother and in compliance with his family, but what does that mean for him? Is that who he really is, or is he just projecting an image? (I like to think he and Sirius are more similar than either wants to admit, personally).
I like it best when Regulus is more straight-laced and repressed, focused on doing what his family wants so they're proud of him, and Evan is more reckless and open, with a devil-may-care attitude. I'd like to see Evan convincing Regulus to go against expectations and let himself be happy.
I read Evan as bi and Regulus was gay, and like to read Evan as coming from a loving and supportive family (fantasy racists can be nice to people they see as Like Them, after all) to mirror Regulus's family being... not that.
I love Muggle AUs, canon divergent AUs, historical AUs (regency, victorian, anything! though if you go for a war fic, I highly prefer WWI over other historical wars and explicitly DNW WWII), and I also love a good angsty canon-compliant fic! And of course, always a sucker for Regulus lives, whatever that means to you.
